On May 30th Matt Pinschmidt (`95) became a daddy. Their boy weighed in at 6lbs 15oz. Mom, Dad and Aiden doing fine.
Matt cut it pretty close because he was in Philadelphia just 2 weeks earlier at the Dad Vail Regatta. Matt has been a crew coach at Santa Clara University, his alma mater, for years and he took his Men's Novice 4 on a season ending road trip.
2008 marks the 70th rowing of the Dad Vail Regatta, the world's largest and best competitive rowing event in the United States with 169 events in 2 days.They were hoping to place in the top 10 but they bettered their entry time of 6 min and 38.249 sec by more than 14 seconds to take a 1st place against 52 other colleges and universities.
