The Los Gatos High School Alumni Association is proud to announce a new governing board.

At its September 3, 2008 meeting, new board members were elected and announced. Serving on the executive team are the following:

President: Chris Miller ‘99

Secretary: Carrie Carlsen ‘74

Trustee: Ken Barker ‘66

Trustee: Paul Jaramillo ‘81

The Los Gatos High School Alumni association exists to keep former LGHS students connected to their alma mater. The Association works to collect accurate and current data of alumni, and act as a partner to assist class reunion committees.

Incoming president Chris Miller is excited about the opportunity to support the rich tradition of Los Gatos High School. According to Miller, the Alumni Association is over 110 years old, as the association at LGHS was founded in 1896, which was the school’s first official graduating class.

Los Gatos High School Principal Doug Ramezane states, "The Los Gatos Alumni Association deserves our thanks for their dedication and hard work to provide a connection and avenue for our alumni to stay in contact with one another and to support LGHS. This is the type of organization that helps to make the Los Gatos High School experience the best possible for our students, staff, and community."

The Los Gatos High School Alumni Association will be focusing its efforts on the following goals in 2008-2009:

--Supporting class reunions while maintaining an accurate database of alumni --Awarding yearly scholarships to two seniors --Completing the LGHS Memory Wall History Project --Supporting Alumni sports events at LGHS --Supporting the New Millennium Foundations’ Endowment program

In addition to the election of a new board, old board members were thanked for their 20 years of service and presented a commemorative clock. Those thanked for their service include: President Sandy Moore, Treasurers Toni Blackstock and Bonnie Knopf, webmaster Dan Pinschmidt, Scholarship chair Shirley Corbett, and Store manager Ginny Kooper. Board secretary Carrie Carlsen will continue serving on the board and Dan Pinschmidt will continue to serve as webmaster.
